HarperLloyd Recruitment is partnering with a leading national commercial law firm to recruit a Disputes & Insolvency Associate / Senior Associate for their Brisbane office.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing disputes team within a well-established national firm, working closely with experienced Partners on complex litigation and insolvency matters across a strong institutional and corporate client base.

The Role:

As a Disputes & Insolvency Associate / Senior Associate in this team, you will:

  • Work across a broad range of complex dispute resolution matters, with a focus on corporations law disputes, insolvency and banking & finance litigation
  • Attend court appearances and assist with enforcement actions
  • Engage in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes
  • Advise institutional and corporate clients on complex litigation matters
  • Work closely with experienced Partners, gaining hands-on exposure to high-value matters

This role offers a strong platform for a lawyer looking to deepen their litigation and insolvency experience while taking on meaningful responsibility within a collaborative team.

About You:

  • Qualified Lawyer admitted in Queensland with approximately 3+ years PAE in litigation or dispute resolution
  • Strong experience in commercial litigation, ideally gained within a reputable private practice environment
  • Solid drafting, analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage matters with a degree of autonomy while working collaboratively within a team
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build strong client relationships
  • Commercially minded with a pragmatic approach to legal advice
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
